Scouts BSA Troop 662
...
Who We Are
Scouts BSA Troop 662 of Kissimmee, FL provides a fun-filled Scouting program where boys between fifth and twelfth grade learn through fun and prepare for life.
Scouts are the kids that live down the block and around the corner from you. They attend the same schools as your children. Scouts love to learn, lead, grow, volunteer, play and have fun just like you and I did when we were kids.
Our Scout leaders are parent volunteers. We are the neighbors you see, meet and talk to in and around town, at school pickup, meet up with at diners and birthday parties. We're at school meetings, on the football and soccer fields, and at baseball games encouraging our children to be and do their best while cheering on our teams. Like you, we want the best for our kids and our nation.
To learn more about our Scout program, we invite you and your family to join us at one of our upcoming Troop meetings. To connect with a Scout leader at Troop 662, contact us today!
What We Do
With the training and resources provided by the Boy Scouts of America, the guidance of volunteer leaders as well as the support of families and the community, we offer a program which focuses on:
- Character Development
- Respectful Relationships
- Communication
- Friendly Service & Citizenship
- Leadership & Problem Solving
- Time Mangement
- Sportsmanship & Fitness
- Family Understanding
- Personal Achievements
- Fun and Adventure
Every Scout activity helps fulfill one of these purposes. When considering a new activity, ask which purpose it supports. Not everything in Scouting has to be serious – far from it!
Where and When We Meet
Our Troop meets every Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 PM at the Knights of Columbus located at 2000 Neptune Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744 USA.
Individual Patrols meet two to three times a month at the Knights of Columbus and at various destinations throughout the community having fun while learning something new or providing community service to our neighbors.
We are a member of the Narcoossee District in the Central Florida Council within Scouting of America.
Why Scouting?
Not only will the Scouting program provide your child with fun and adventure, it will provide lasting memories for your entire family. Further, you’ll make new friends, too, as you work with the parents of your child's new friends. Contact us for more information about our program.
As a Troop, we travel to a variety of parks and destinations to camp and have fun. Further, we also enjoy many traditional events like outdoor camping, canoeing, spaghetti dinners, fish fry events, summer camp and BSA High Adventure trips!

After a two-and-a-half-year period, the study proved Scouting builds positive character and prepares young people for life.
